About the Fairbanks Mansion
Fairbanks Mansion was constructed in 1912 for Charles Warren Fairbanks, the U.S. vice president under Theodore Roosevelt. Following the deaths of both Fairbanks and his wife, the home was converted to office space in 1950 for the Indianapolis Life Insurance Company. Over the years, it has housed other Indianapolis businesses and organizations. Additional office space has been added on to the mansion, providing Delta Sig with access to additional meeting space, training rooms and cafeteria. The Fraternity currently leases the space.

Headquarters History
In the early days of the Fraternity, Delta Sigma Phi did not have any employees or headquarters. Our co-founder, Meyer Boskey, coordinated the original fraternity activities from his student apartment near City College of New York, the location of the first chapter. Later he conducted the activities from his law office in Lower Manhattan.
When the first executive secretary was hired, he operated the central office from Washington, D.C. In 1940, the headquarters were moved to Springfield, Ohio. Then in 1950, the headquarters office was relocated to Denver where it remained for 32 years. In 1982, the Fraternity moved to Indianapolis and purchased Taggart Mansion at 1331 N. Delaware Street. After two years of renovations, the offices moved into Taggart in 1984. Taggart was sold in July 2014. Since December that year, Delta Sigma Phi’s offices have been located in the Fairbanks Mansion. It is located a mere two miles north of Taggart.
